Deer Are Active Around the Stand
Wow! The month of August has really picked up for the bucks moving around one of our ladder stands. One of our cameras is really picking up the bucks as they move in the morning through that area. Archery season here in Pa is getting closer - some 44 days away. I can't wait, especially after seeing some of these photos.
We got a picture of a buck that has a double drop tine on the one side and a single drop tine on the other side, not to mention the antlers it has coming out from all over the place. The third photo is one taken recently that caught it close up, if only we would have gotten another shot a little later. You can tell which deer this is though just by the drop tine in the photo. It would really turn out to be a unique buck if it was harvested.
The other bucks in the photo seem to be half racks, though very tall. It might even be the same buck a couple of times.
As you can see in the photos, they still have their velvet.
Well, hope you enjoy the photos. The camera isn't really getting good moving shots so the photos are a little fuzzy. I don't have the cuddieback camera you see on t.v where you don't miss a photo and they are clear even in motion. This one does just find for see the antlers.
The last photo is our mystery deer. Sure enough, the one tree that is in the photo, the buck walks right behind it and the camera takes the picture. You can just see the antlers on the side of the tree. Not sure how big this one is.

Best of luck on your next hunt,
