Keep After Those Turkeys

I am still after that Tom. I have been out several times and have had the turkeys in my area but I have been unable to get them to come to me. I believe there are to many hens mixed in with the Toms and I can't get them to leave the hens when they come down. I did set up one morning in a field around 9:00am and started to call. 10 minutes later, 2 red heads came bobbing over the hill. I thought great, I can get a shot at one of these. But, before they got close enough to me, they got nervous and decided to head the opposite direction. I never did see the beards on them due to the high field but I believe they were just jakes. Of course at this point, I would take a jake. I will keep trying. Time is winding down though.
